Classic Chevrolet Sugar Land Car Dealership of the Future 2021 Scholarship Program
Classic Chevrolet Sugar Land is a locally owned and operated Houston car dealership. We're proud to serve the local community and honored to be named "Dealer of the Year" 9 years running and #1 in customer satisfaction in Texas! We are always looking for ways to give back, and with tuition for college at an all-time-high, we decided one of the best things we could do is invest in young people's futures. So we've opened up the Classic Chevrolet Sugar Land Car Dealership of the Future 2021 Scholarship Program to all students enrolled in a US college or university at least part-time.
How Much Is the Scholarship Award?
Twice each year, we will award a $1000 scholarship to selected recipients.
Who Is Eligible for the Scholarship?
Any student currently enrolled or accepted for the upcoming semester at a US college or university.
- Enrolled in part-time or full-time classes
- No minimum GPA
- Studies in all fields/trades are accepted
How do we protect scholarship applicants?
- NO FEES of any kind are required to apply for the scholarship. Any eligible student may apply for free.
- We will not need to collect your social security number, birth date, or sensitive personally identifiable information
- We NEVER SHARE applicant information with 3rd parties
How to Apply:
Write an original 600+ word essay describing 'the car dealership of the future'. Keep in mind, this essay should still be describing an actual car dealership, not a sci-fi futuristic scenario in which car dealerships no longer exist. What are the best features of current car dealerships that would be included? What new features have been put in place to improve the customer experience? What aspects of current car dealerships that most frustrate car buyers today are no longer a part of the dealerships of tomorrow? The essay may be in narrative form or descriptive form. The essay should draw on a mixture of personal experience as well as some online research sources, which you will cite. Publish your essay online publicly - this can be a student blog on your school website, your own personal website/blog, or another platform like WordPress.com, medium.com, blogger.com, Wix, etc. Include at least 2 or 3 links that cite the authoritative sources you are drawing on for data or inspiration, including 1 link to https://www.classicchevysugarland.com/ . When complete, email the scholarship committee at chevysugarland.scholarship@gmail.com Be sure to include:
- Your full name
- Your address (for award notification)
- College/University name
- Proof of enrollment/acceptance
- MAKE SURE to send us the url/link where your essay is posted

2021 Winter Scholarship Application Deadline: - Entry deadline is December 20, 2021 - The winner will be selected by January 15, annually - Scholarship award funds will be disbursed by February 15, annually 2022 Spring Scholarship Application Deadline: - Entry deadline is May 20, 2022 - The winner will be selected by June 15, annually - Scholarship award funds will be disbursed by July 15, annually

Additional Scholarship Details
- The winning candidate will be selected by an internal committee from Classic Chevrolet Sugar Land
- The scholarship is available on an annual basis and is non-renewable.

- The scholarship funds will be sent via check or wire transfer to the college or university. Funds are to be applied to qualified college expenses (including tuition, fees, books, and on-campus room and board) for the current academic year.
Terms and Conditions:
Scholarship funds will be disbursed through check or wire payment to the financial aid office to be applied toward the student's tuition or room and board at the institution in which the student is currently enrolled for classes, or enrolled for the upcoming semester. Published and submitted essays will be judged by the Classic Chevrolet Sugar Land scholarship committee, who will review the essay for creativity, persuasiveness, and clarity. The published essay must be the student's original, non-plagiarized work created expressly for this scholarship application, and must not be reused for any other purpose. Classic Chevrolet Sugar Land will attempt to notify the $1,000 scholarship winner by phone and/or email. If the winner does not respond within 30 days, Classic Chevrolet Sugar Land reserves the right to withhold the award and/or offer it to the next eligible applicant. Verification of enrollment and proof applicant meets eligibility qualifications will be required once a tentative winner has been selected. If an applicant no longer meets the eligibility requirements at the time of distribution, Classic Chevrolet Sugar Land will offer the award to the next eligible applicant. Classic Chevrolet Sugar Land employees, affiliates, partners (or immediate family of any of those categories) are not eligible for the scholarship award. Scholarship recipient agrees to provide a photo and gives Classic Chevrolet Sugar Land express consent to publish this photo and the recipient's name in the list of scholarship recipients on this website page. Classic Chevrolet Sugar Land reserves the right to withhold disbursement of scholarship in the event that no applicant meets the eligibility requirements or demonstrates minimal writing aptitude.
